Well – what an afternoon! Ros and I (plus Piotr) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so, many thanks. Finca Rustica was looking very good, especially now that their pool is finished – what a difference. The food was exceptional and your wines were sensational. As ever, your accompanying chat was interesting and humorous, striking exactly the right note. Some of those wines will definitely find their way into my cellar just as soon as that elusive lottery win arrives! It was great too to see the lovely Claire looking so good although we know she still has some discomfort. Good to catch up with Kirsty too.
Well done and many thanks again for a truly wonderful tasting.

Gratefully received after Bodega Visit and Lunch, Feb 2013

Hello Colin,
Just a short note to say “thank you” for a splendid day-out on Monday. We enjoyed the bodega and wines tasting and have a case of MOMA for our future enjoyment.(plus the red desert wine)
The food at lunch was just wonderful….their version of Gaspacho Manchego was very different to the version of ‘Xorta’ at Guard de l’Est who offer it as one of their specialities; we will ask them where to spread the honey next time we visit.

Many, many thanks for organising such a splendid evening at Cava. It certainly helped that we knew most of the lovely people there and, of course we assumed that the tapas would be superb. Colin is always a very safe pair of hands guaranteed to entertain and educate and he didn’t disappoint – despite his recent accident (aaaarh!). He really does wear his knowledge and experience lightly, doesn’t he? Anyway, great evening, lots of fun, excellent tapas and gorgeous wine – our sort of evening, really!
