Gratefully received after 2 day trip to Cartagena!

CARTAGENA BODEGA PHIL FRASERPhil, in the background, taking it all in!

‘Colin, many thanks yet again for a well organised and well priced two day trip to Cartagena. It is great to see that Tin Lizzie tours can provide such trips as these taking us to places we would never find on our own and would likely never dream of. The duration was just right for visits to a bodega, a goats cheese factory and a harbour tour, leaving us with enough free time to enjoy some other sights of the city and a good dinner. Keep up the good work.

COMING UP – TWO BODEGA VISITS INC. TASTINGS AND LUNCH!

TWO EVENTS FOR YOUR DIARY!

DOUBLE BODEGA VISIT WEDS. 30th OCTOBER

I’ve arranged a visit to two sister bodegas, Bodegas Sierra Salinas (DO Alicante) and Bodegas Castaño (DO Yecla) on Weds 30th October for a tour and tasting in each, plus lunch at Bodegas Castaño – with wine, of course!

The wine making process and bodega philosophy will be explained in English at the smaller Bodegas Sierra Salinas, where we’ll also taste two of their small portfolio of wines.

Then we move to Bodegas Castaño where we’ll see the same, but on a far larger scale. This shorter tour finishes in the dining room where we’ll have our 3-course lunch which will be served with four different wines!

There will then be an opportunity to buy wines at bodega prices – a great chance to stock up!

35€ per person – includes Prize Raffle and Prize Quiz on return journey!

CHRISTMAS CAVA TASTING & BODEGA TOUR THURS. 14th NOV.

Here’s your chance to buy all your Cava for the Christmas Celebrations, and Still Wine too!

Bodegas Dominio de la Vega (DO Cava & DO Utiel-Requena), inland from Valencia, whose Reserva Cava was twice officially named the best in Spain as well as recently being awarded a Gold medal in the 50 Best Sparkling Wines of the World Competition; and whose Arte Mayor Cava is Robert Parker’s highest placed Cava, is opening its doors to us on Thurs. 14th November.

The charming Alvaro, Director and Wine-maker/Philosopher will guide us through the bodega telling us something of the fascinating history of the building and explaining the Cava-making methdod.

We’ll taste Cava and wine and there will be an opportunity for you to buy at special bodega prices – perfect for Christmas!

Then we go to nearby Hotel Tollo for a super 3-course lunch, with wine of course!

36€ per person, includes Prize Raffle and Prize Quiz on return journey!
