Colin – yesterday’s tasting was an excellent experience – good food, served at the right pace; excellent, professional service including fresh glasses for each new wine (wouldn’t have liked to be the washer-upper!), and – given we were blessed with good weather – an excellent location and ambience. I don’t normally venture out for wine tastings during the workday, but decided to make an exception today after your absence and am so glad we did!

In my humble opinion, everything yesterday was spot on perfect: the menu was really good and matched the wines, all of which were superb, and I actually preferred the smaller portion sizes as we don’t normally eat much at lunch. All the other people at our table were pleasant company too.

Colin, just a short note to say thank you for Tuesday evening. It was an amazing evening, we never stopped talking about the wines and all the very interesting facts etc you passed on about wine in general and the absolutely glorious wines you chose. I have been trying to get Melvyn to join our little wine club for years and he has always said it wasn’t for him, so I owe you a personal big thank you as he is now looking forward to joining our lovely wine group, you really lit a fire under his love of wine!
