Visit to Bodegas Enrique Mendoza!

Colin : March 12, 2017 12:41 pm : Events

Wednesday 29th March

I’ve been able to arrange a super, short Day Trip, to visit Bodegas Enrique Mendoza en Alfaz del Pi. This leading Spanish, not just Alicante, Bodega has exemplary wines – and we’ll be tasting 6 of them, including one of the flagship wines, the Estrecho!

We have a tour of the facility, including the Crianza Room whose heady mix of oak and wine aromas is one of the best things about visiting a bodega! We taste the six wines, there will be  also be tapas, bread, cheese and sausage plus Mendoza Extra Virgin Olive Oil served, plus Valor chocolate served with the final wine, a delicious red dessert wine!

Then we go for a three course lunch locally, with wine, claro!

There will be the opportunity to buy, but no pressure to do so!

We should be back at around 6pm depending on your pick up/drop off place.

Pick up will be, depending as above, at around 10:30 hrs – so it’s not even a crack of dawn job!

The cost of all this is just 49€ per person!

Places are limited so please reserve as soon as possible – by e-mailing or by calling/texting me on 629 388 159.

  1. Enjoy your articles and advice therein. For my sins I am President of the Phoenix Social Club in Velez Malaga. Mostly Brit retirees (but not ALL!). Interested in Bodega visits or Wine tastings but must be fairly low budget. Do you have a newsletter?
    Best Wishes

  2. Colin, I found your website as a result of being invited to a wine tasting later this month near Denia which I understand you will facilitate. I see that you organise visits to wineries including tours, wine tasting and dining. My partner Janet and I thoroughly enjoy such visits and over the years have included them on our holidays in Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Spain and I took a bicycle tour of wineries in Sonoma Valley, California many years ago. We are definitely not experts! Now that I spend most of my time in Valencia it would be great to visit more Spanish wineries. So far we have visited Torre Oria and Enguera. Do you publish details in your newsletter (to which I have subscribed today) or separately? Joe.

  3. Hi Joe and Janet, I have replied by e-mail. Hope you have received it? I’ll see you at the wine tasting you mention – please make yourselves known to me! looking forward to meeting you! Saludos, Colin

  4. Hi Ken – I hope you have received my reply (sent late, apologies!)? Please confirm receipt and if we can discuss things further, I’d be delighted, of course! Saludos, Colin
